Bike marking event Berkhamsted

Dear Resident

A bike marking event is being held in #Berkhamsted this month.

Officers will be outside Lovelo Cycle Works on Friday 25 July, to security mark bicycles free of charge and record details on the national Bike Register database.

Marking your bicycle takes just minutes to do, making it less attractive to thieves as it is harder to sell on.

If your bike is ever lost or stolen and subsequently recovered, it’s easier to return it if it’s marked and registered on the national database.

Please note that the service often proves very popular and will be offered on a first come, first served basis, while registration kits last.

Friday 25 July

12.20pm until 4.30pm

Lovelo Cycle Works, Dwight’s Yard, Berkhamsted High Street

If you’re unable to make it, you can register your bike directly by visiting the Bike Register website.

We’ll also be holding further events, so please keep an eye out for details.
